New Haven, CT – U.S. Representative Rosa DeLauro and U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal today announced a $1 million cooperative agreement awarded to ClimateHaven, a cutting-edge climate technology incubator based in New Haven, CT. The award comes from the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Energy Program for Innovation Clusters (EPIC) Prize and marks a significant investment in Connecticut’s clean energy future.
ClimateHaven has been at the forefront of fostering climate technology startups that aim to drive economic growth, create new jobs, and position Connecticut as a national leader in clean energy innovation. Over the next three years, this funding will empower the organization to provide specialized support for green chemistry companies, to accelerate the adoption of sustainable technologies, and strengthen partnerships with industry leaders.
“ClimateHaven’s mission is to drive transformative solutions for clean air, clean water and energy resilience by accelerating the journey of early stage climate tech companies from lab to market. This funding, secured with the invaluable support of Senator Blumenthal, Senator Murphy, and Congresswoman DeLauro, underscores the importance of federal partnerships in scaling transformative climate technologies. It is a testament of their commitment to fostering innovation in Connecticut, and to accelerating the transition to a resilient, low-carbon future,” said Justine Lee ClimateHaven CEO.
